WHY NOT USE STANDARD BATTERIES ?

Batteries (chemical energy) life expectancy is short about 500-1000 cycles because it require a dual chemical reaction - one for storing the energy and one for converting stored chemical energy into electrical energy.

Battery life expectancy

This depends on the number of full charges (from 0 to 100%) that they can undergo before their effectiveness gradually diminishes, until they no longer function.

The most commonly used batteries are:

  • lithium batteries: up to 1000 charge cycles

  • nickel batteries: expect around 500 cycles

  • lead batteries : expect around 300 cycles
